As you may or may not be aware, the Mustard Seed is having some "challenges" in meeting it's monthly financial obligations. We have a new program available to you now so you can be of help. The new program involves you sponsoring a chair at the Mustard Seed for $20.00 per month, or $240.00 per year. This sponsorship doesn’t suggest that you will have any special privileges with a certain chair, own a certain chair, or that your name will be tagged to a certain chair. However, what it DOES do is that by sponsoring a chair, you will make sure there will always be a chair for someone at the Mustard Seed and a place to work the AA program. Please see the custodian for more details. We NEED your support.
We now have an email group. It is really neat. Just send an email to mustardseedgroup-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and you will be added very quickly. Then when anyone sends or replies to an email from a group member, everyone will receive it. Many groups are doing this now and it is a great and quick way to share. Just do not forget that an email sent, or replied to, goes to all. Enough said. It is moderated to prevent spamming or obscenities.
The GSR meeting is your chance to get involved in service work. Consider contacting the Area Service Assembly (CASA) of AA at 312.346.5477 for additional service opportunities.
Volunteers are needed at the Mustard Seed desk for two-hour periods, especially on Mondays - Wednesdays and Thursdays between the hours of Noon and 3p. For more info, visit the front desk custodian or call at: 312.664.6856.
